Earlier in his career, Mawdud was the Managing Director of Meedah Ventures Limited, an Investment Holding Company located in SE Asia; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meedah Group Limited, a boutique consulting and advisory firm; Chief Information Officer (CIO) for State General Reserve Fund, the largest and most prestigious sovereign wealth fund in the Sultanate of Oman; CIO for Universal System Technologies, a leading IT & Consulting Firm in Brunei Darussalam; and had numerous senior business and technology roles at HSBC in the UK.

His consulting and advisory experience spans more than 15 years for companies and clients in the UK, Europe, North America, Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East. Mawdud is a staunch advocate of aligning technology strategy with corporate business strategy because in today's dynamic and unforgiving economy, if your organisation is not enabling technology to drive your business model, it is highly likely that you will get left behind. Mawdud has designed, managed and implemented numerous technology-driven and innovative business projects to help the organisations that he has either worked for, or been hired as a consultant for, or started himself, to grow and provide sustainable value.

The explosion and developments within the blockchain and cryptocurrency during the past decade has allowed Mawdud to hone his skills and experience, along with his thirst for learning, to capitalise on a market which is primed for exponential growth in the coming years. He was first introduced to Bitcoin and Blockchain technology in 2012 but like the majority of us, he did not act (unfortunately for him). Since 2016, he has become more active within the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem, learning, investing and trading, whilst sharing his new found passion with family, friends clients and social media followers alike.

With more than 20 years of international experience, Mawdud has been fortunate enough to work in a multitude of industries and verticals including metals & mining, hospitality, aviation, telcos, venture capital, crowd funding, startups, energy, commodities, trading, wealth management, blockchain, cryptocurrency, sovereign funds, government, technology and banking & financial services.
